Principal

Daan Joubert

Daan Joubert – Principal

B.Com (Hons) LLB 1991 (UPE)

Daan Joubert matriculated at DF Malherbe High School, Port Elizabeth in 1983 and proceeded to study at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (formerly UPE) and obtained degrees in B.Com (Law), Honores in Economics and LLB. After completing his 2 years of Articles as an Article Clerk with Goldberg and Odendaal Attorneys in Port Elizabeth, he was admitted by the High Court of South Africa as an Attorney at Law and founded Jouberts Attorneys in 1994. He is a qualified Notary Public and has more than 20 years of extensive experience in all aspects of the Law.

He places a very high value on calculated and well motivated legal advice as this he believes, is the single element that determines any potential client’s experience not only with the South African Legal System but also the legal profession itself.

Danie Gerber

Danie Gerber – Practicing Attorney

BA (LAW) LLB 2008 (NWU)

Danie Gerber matriculated at Wonderboom High School, Pretoria in 2002 and proceeded to study at the North-West University – Potchefstroom and obtained his degrees in Bacculareus Artum in Law and Bacculareus Legum (LLB). After completion of his clerkship as an Article Clerk with Jouberts Attorneys under the guidance of Daan Joubert, he was admitted by the High Court of South Africa as an Attorney with right of appearance in the High Court. He has extensive post-article experience in all aspects of law and is well versed in Evictions, Debt Collection, Litigation (both High and Lower Courts), Commercial and Family Law.

Nakkie du Toit

Nakkie du Toit – Conveyancer

LLB 2004 (UNISA)

Nakkie du Toit studied at Unisa and in 2004 obtained a Bacculareus Legum (LLB) degree. After completing her clerkship she was admitted by the High Court of South Africa as an Attorney. Nakkie proceeded to successfully complete her conveyancing exam and qualified as a Conveyancer in 2006.

Nakkie du Toit attends to Jouberts Attorneys conveyancing matters, all transfer documents are prepared by her and she executes all registrations in the Deeds Office on our behalf. Conveyancing is Nakkie’s field of expertise and she assists the Jouberts Attorneys Conveyancing Team with all our conveyancing matters.

Nakkie du Toit also has a registered legal firm namely Nakkie du Toit Attorneys practising in Pretoria.

Ryan Willemse

Ryan Willemse – Article Clerk

LLB 2013 (NWU)

Ryan matriculated at Lofdal Christian School in 2009 and proceeded to start his studies in Law at North-West University (Potchefstroom) and completed his LLB in 2013. He commenced his Articles at Jouberts Attorneys on 1 March 2015. He is also currently doing his Masters in Law at North-West University. Ryan has a young and energetic approach and is an assist to the firm.

Michelle Joubert

Michelle Joubert – Conveyancing Manager

Michelle Joubert (born Parker) obtained her BA Degree in Social Work at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (then University of Port Elizabeth) in 1988.

After successfully practicing as a Social Worker for 8 years she joined the Jouberts Attorneys Team and has been working for Jouberts Attorneys since 1996.

Being the head of management of the Conveyancing Team she has extensive experience in the field. Michelle personally oversees all the aspects of the conveyancing process and ensures a high standard of service and professionalism is maintained by the Conveyancing Team. Each property transaction is handled with care and commitment and all the parties are kept informed of the status and progress. Michelle co-ordinates the different aspects of the process to ensure a quick turnaround time, accuracy and quality service.

Michelle is an exceptional service provider that will go the extra mile to ensure all Conveyancing transactions shall, from commencement to fruition, be treated with the utmost professionalism, dignity and confidentiality to ensure a satisfied client every time.

Jean-Marie Siebert

Jean-Marie Siebert – Office Manager

Jean-Marie has been in the employ of Jouberts Attorneys since November 2010 and fulfills a dual function namely, the day-to-day management of the office as well as attending at Council to rates applications and solving problems relating to rates clearance figures. This we can assure you is an exceptionally challenging task requiring tenacity and determination, making Jean-Marie a real asset to Jouberts. Jean-Marie has extensive experience in the process of the various Local Municipalities and ensures our Conveyancing Team obtains the rates clearance figures and clearance certificates in the quickest possible time, thereby greatly minimising any potential delays.

Nicola Mcintyre

Nicola Mcintyre – Conveyancing Paralegal

February 2014: Nicola celebrated 10 years of employment at Jouberts Attorneys

Nicola has been with Jouberts since February 2004 and employed as a Conveyancing Paralegal with experience in the field spanning back some 20 years. She is exceptionally knowledgeable in the field specialising in the various legal aspects and Laws applicable to the Conveyancing process as well as the finer and more important financial aspects relating to each and every transfer of a property.

Her accuracy and precision makes her a pivotal member of the Conveyancing Team always giving her best to ensure the process is completed professionally and competently.

Chantel Gerber

Chantel Gerber – Conveyancing Paralegal

Chantel Gerber joined the Jouberts Team at the beginning of June 2014. Chantel is employed as a Conveyancing Paralegal and more in particular to co-ordinate the various conveyancing aspects. Chantel has more than 13 years’ experience in conveyancing and will become a pivotal part of our Team and services.

Piet Hattingh

Piet Hattingh – Conveyancing Paralegal

February 2014: Piet celebrated 10 years of employment at Jouberts Attorneys

Piet Hattingh has been in the employ of Jouberts Attorneys since 2001 and has more than 20 years of experience in the Conveyancing field. Piet studied Law and was in the employ of the Registrar of Deeds as an Examiner for many years. At Jouberts Attorneys he adds value to the Conveyancing Team with his vast experience in Conveyancing and attends to the daily lodgements in the Deeds Office.

A further and important function relates to problem solving with transactions in the Deeds Office. Over and above these functions Piet also assists our Conveyancer with the execution of transactions in the Deeds Office.

With his vast experience he is always available to assist and give advice on transactions that pose a challenge, making him an invaluable member of the Conveyancing team.

Jessica Venter

Jessica Venter – Conveyancing Secretary

Jessica Venter been employed at Jouberts Attorneys since 2009. Jessica is knowledgeable and experienced in the conveyancing process and attends to drafting of transfer documents, requesting bank guarantees, obtaining levy clearances and arranging lodgements. Jessica is hard working and committed, she has a good rapport with our clients and is always willing to assist and attend to all queries.

Bonita Klusmann – Paralegal Secretary

February 2015: Bonita celebrated 10 years of employment at Jouberts Attorneys

Bonnie joined Jouberts in February 2005 and has over the last number of years and through hard work and dedication distinguished herself as a competent and capable legal secretary working for the principal Daan Joubert.

She not only manages his files but also liaises with clients and assists where ever she can. She has become the right hand of Daan Joubert in litigation and has proven herself to be an invaluable part of the Litigation Team.
